Neutriceuticals Beats Science, Where Will it All Lead?

#MSResearch #MS Blog where next science beaten

Some comments were suggesting that we are too negative about alternative and complementary medicines.

We are not against them, but we just would like to see good class I evidence.  We ask the same of pharmaceutical drugs.

Should we listen to Dr Dre and his anti-drug stance?

What Next? 🙂

Very funny, but is unbelievable that the NHS funds a Hospital of Homeopathy, maybe the comedy sketch was filmed there.

Royal London Homeopathic Hospital rebranded. But how different will things be at the Royal London Hospital for Integrated Medicine?

David Colquhoun's Blog is worth a read such as his Devil's Dictionary of all things holistic:
"Herbal medicine: giving patients an unknown dose of an ill-defined drug, of unknown effectiveness and unknown safety…

Reflexology: plain old foot massage, overlaid with utter nonsense about non-existent connections between your feet and your thyroid gland… Spiritual healing: tea and sympathy, accompanied by arm-waving…

Kinesiology, iridology, vega test, etc: various forms of fraud, designed to sell you cures that don't work, for problems you haven't got." And so on.

    • David Colquhoun's blog is indeed very good. See he was interviewed in the papers only this week. DCScience is a very influential site. I too find it incredible in this day and age that homeopathy is still being funded by the NHS and paid for the hospital refurb, even more incredible that some of the current health ministers believe in homeopathy too.
