Can you have it both ways?

As you know there has beeen a suggestion that if you have more salt it drives pathogenic T cells in MS.

MD2 suggested that the animal data on which this idea is based (OK there is a corrleation of more MS and more Burger bars….Maybethe link is greenhouse gas-or is that hot air?) was a croc based on the dose equivalents that you would have to eat half a kilo a day.

Not deterred scientitsts bash on and now we hear that high salt causes dermatitis. However in ashma the pathogenic cell is the Th2, which the Th1/Th17 brigade suggest is the opposite. So now salt makes the good and the bad guys.

Sodium chloride is an ionic checkpoint for human TH2 cells and shapes the atopic skin microenvironment. Matthias et al. Sci Transl Med. 2019 Feb 20;11(480).

Can you have it both ways…Logic says Nah.

Remember too much salt, if not good for you.
