Combination of cannabinoids, delta-9-tetrahydrocannabinol (THC) and cannabidiol (CBD), mitigates experimental autoimmune encephalomyelitis (EAE) by altering the gut microbiome. There you have it cannabis works because it affects your microbiome.
Dear Oh Dear. We have given up on cannabinoid related research as the neuros kept on messing up the clinical trials and our voice has been lost under the sea of tosh animal studies.
Since we first showed that cannabis has the potential for symptom control, this work has been used to justify EAE studies on immunomodulation. Funnily they cite this and ignore our work saying that it was not immunomodulating at sensible doses that did ot make animals super-high. Avoid this and it is not immunomodulating. However, we have seen paper after paper on this and we have been airbrushed from history.
Do humans who smoke cannabis get massively immunosuppressed…Answer = No
Do humans with MS who smoke cannabis still have relapses? You tell me ?Cannabis is the Aspirin of the 21st Centrary is after all
However, it now works by changing microbiome?
I know for sure that it helps emptying my bladder
Cannabis or.microbio.e?
Cannabis.😁😁
I knew it was only a matter of time before the two were linked.
The question is, is it realistic and does it relate to humans?
I have my doubts…………………………………….
MOUSEDOCTOR please keep going. One day you will solve the problem. Just ignore them…
Problem is where to go with this line of work. Our results are pretty clear on the value as an immunomodulator…it isn’t much use. As a neuroprotector, we are seeing if it is possible to revive
Meanwhile NICE continues to dig its heels in.
I guess you can’t have it both ways. But surely with medical cannabis you don’t need NICE. NICE is a cost cutting machine not a drug approval service that is the MHRA’s role, but as NICE is 100percent pharma funded it is not going to say the data is good enough. It isn’t. We are making pharma jump through hoops to get approval and because there is anecdote for cannabis that is OK. Is it.OK to have double standards?
