Irony of Humanization part VI and a half
DrAngry not only gave you a valentine present last week, that as MD2 says “Is better than chocolate and flowers” but in the process also gave Queen Mary students a big smile, as they saw their hard effort become a paper and a new tool to help neuros give better treatment to you.

Last week we saw the first publication of a new technology to detect anti-drug antibody responses.
Saxena GK, Theocharopoulos I, Aziz NT, Jones M, Gnanapavan S, Giovannoni G, Schmierer K, Garnett JA, Baker D, Kang AS. GloBody Technology: Detecting Anti-Drug Antibody against VH/VL domains. Sci Rep. 2020 Feb 5;10(1):1860.
These were made by our great students, who did the work as part of their lab projects. So it is right that we celebrate their hard work and you can read the story here (Click)

This work was stated by our undergraduate students Ioannis and Nisha who got the technology from a spark in Angry’s head to become a reality

One of our Medical students Gauri started to show that it can be useful. Read the biology here. https://www.frontiersin.org/articles/10.3389/fimmu.2020.00124/full, and won funding to go and present the new results in Italy. However, what happened in Italy, Stays in Italy for the time being but that’s yet another story…… The Irony of Humanization Part VI

It’s not just MS that can benefit for this technology…but you will have to go to DrAngrys website to see that.
However, DocA had MD2 and I in the lab and I’m excited to see that Part VII of the story is certainly cooking and DrA should be called Jake as he has “seen the light”

and even part VIII is on the boil with another member of the skilled QM team turning the Kitchen Sink into something else..But that is another story

kind of a biscuit that’s supposed to bounce back off the wall into your
mouth. If it don’t bounce back, hee hee hee, … you go hungry!

You’re going to get the band back together?
We is formed, but being tone deaf, out of tune, it will be a few years before we tour.
We do have a great sax player in Nashville (in the family) Evan Cobb…I am sure he would join us for a good cause.

Evan is the Sax player on Lauren Daigle video.
May be if we ask nicely Lauren and Evan will come on board for a good cause.

This is how we celebrated MD2’s birthday and success of one of our PhD students, who doing the slide projection. Yep we don’t do stuff by halves. We made the stage outfits and the T-shirts…One song was “Fess-up” (based on “Word up” by Cameo using the Gun version) about a gossip in the Institute, featured a red sequined cod piece with tassle.
OK the singing was shite but quite tight for only 4 practises and as for the slide projection, no rehearsal a few G &Ts for the operator and a lot of pointing. If there had been monitors or a decent amp, we could have worked out that ProfB was flat as a fart 🙁 Sweet Home in the Basement (Alabama.Lynrd Skynrd) was class. Aaargh Aaaargh Aaaargh Aaaargh:-). Ending with It’s Perfect Day (Lou reed) and Wayne County and the Electric Chairs for the Encore (The only song we didn’t chance any of the words for…about a pre-op trans sexual……MD2, a blues brother, was on fire for that.
Just wanted to say I think Globodies are a really great piece of scientific work, from conception to implementation. Nothing is ever as simple as it seems in a paper, so well done to everyone from conception to implementation.
