Covid Breakfast

Pseudoscience and COVID-19 – we’ve had enough already. Caulfield T. Nature. 2020 Apr 27. doi: 10.1038/d41586-020-01266-z. [Epub ahead of print]

As you glug your bleach, disinfectant or UV yourself, people are getting fed up with pseudo science. This article suggests we should do more to debunk the myths

They say “part of the scientific community’s fight against pseudoscience is keeping its own house in order. Those pushing biomedical conspiracy theories and other nonsense point to legitimate concerns about how research is funded, interpreted and disseminated. Scientific integrity — particularly, refraining from hype and being transparent about conflicts — is crucial. We must promote both trust in science and trustworthy science.”

Last time I commented on Pseudo science…..I got an unbelievable tarrade from the Perp….I don’t think I can travel to Saudi as a result;-)

  • Hi Mouse Doc

Could you, whenever an article is available in full (PDF or whatever format) provide a link ? The Nature article could be fantastic but not available immediately and while it dangles in front of you, you can touch it, read it, nor gain from it.

I will try to find that article but in this avalanche of information and mis-information, things get lost, and easily.
