For those who dont know poly-ethylene glycol (PEG) is an anti-freeze, it is also a molecule that make molecules hang around the body for abit longer. When the weekly beta interferon 1a was running out of patent life it was given a PEG coat and it meant a new patent and a molecule that hangs around for two weeks. This is given under the skin, but this newly approved variant is given into the muscle. It is equivalent but it induces about 2/3 fewer injection site reactions.

Hmm, which brand of anti freeze would you recommend for a VW? Also this sounds similar to the GA depot and other long release drugs. Would it impact efficacy or is it just a QoL thing?
Just an extend the patent life/revenue generating type thing.
Oh evergreening IF, I forgot its a multi billion market.
Exactly right.
