If you are on anti-CD20 and fingolimod you may not make a very good anti-covid response and so one solution is to delay treatment so you can make an anti-COVID-19 response. However delaying treatment means you run the risk of disease activity.
A solution may be to give an antibody response. However there is something else on the horizon and this is an an anti-viral chemical. This is made by American Merck (Merck Sharp Dome) not the German or MS Merck. This could be given if you get infected to get rid of the virus.
It was developed to treat flu and exerts its antiviral action through introduction of copying errors during viral RNA replication. Molnupiravir inhibits viral RNA-dependent RNA polymerase, or more precisely, promotes mutations in that enzyme’s actions.
